01 July, 2018

POLICE arrested and then “de-arrested” an 11-year-old boy after a stabbing in Archway on Sunday afternoon which has left a teenager with several knife wounds.

Following initial enquiries the boy was de-arrested and released from custody. Two teenagers – a 15-year-old and a 14-year-old – were arrested on suspicion of attempted murder on Monday morning.

The 14-year-old was charged with attempted murder on Tuesday while the 15-year-old was bailed pending further enquiries.

Officers were called to Fairbridge Road at around 6.50pm where a 14-year-old was found injured. He was taken by air ambulance to an east London hospital. His family are with him at his hospital bed.

The police cordon blocking access into the road was removed on Monday morning.
