BOXERS from across Camden and Islington have been busy putting in the rounds and pounding the pavements as they prepare for the start of the amateur season later this month.
And the young fighters from Islington Boxing Club certainly know how to get ready for the action. They enjoyed a last-minute trip to Clacton-on-Sea, in Essex, for a team bonding day at the beach.
Club founder Ron Hagland, who lives in the nearby resort of Frinton-on-Sea, made a special appearance to join in the festivities with the young club members. “What an experience for the kids and I was very proud to be there to see them all,” he said. “The club is very thankful to our sponsors who help us run events like this.”
