Brexit, more a very British farce than a crisis or drama
05 April, 2019
• ON Friday we were meant to “take back control”. Take back control of what exactly? Take back control gives you the impression you had control in the first place.
One thing we learnt last week is that when Parliament took control of the Brexit process it clearly demonstrated eight times that there was no control at all.
Then, with no irony intended, well not much, on April Fools’ Day there were four more meaningless votes with no resolution as Theresa May dressed up as the April Fool par excellence.
This is less of a crisis or a watchable drama and more of a very British farce Brian Rix would recognise?
