Casting off at the Barbican: Captain Noah and his Floating Zoo
21 June, 2018 — By Sebastian Taylor
Captain Noah is conducted by John Wilson
A fun, family-friendly workshop on Joseph Horovitz’s charming choral work Captain Noah and his Floating Zoo is being held on Saturday (June 22) at City of London School for Girls, Barbican.
Horovitz’s delightful score, written in 1970 to words by Michael Flanders, appeals to children and adults alike. At the workshop, you’ll sing through the piece alongside members of the BBC Singers and create music inspired by compositions being performed as part of the evening’s Captain Noah concert, conducted by John Wilson.
The event is open to all the family, suitable for age seven upwards. No previous singing experience or ability to read music is required.
