AN artist is appealing for help from the public after he was chased by machete-wielding attackers.
Graham Clemie, who is in his 50s, was cycling home to Barnsbury around midnight on Saturday when two moped riders approached him in Arran Walk, off Canonbury Street.
“I suddenly realised what was going to happen,” he told the Tribune.
“I cycled past them as fast as I could and started shouting ‘help, help, police’.”
He was pushed from behind and his chest “slammed” into the handlebars of his Brompton bike as the attackers sped off toward the New River Path.
Mr Clemie said police told him there had been similar attacks that night and are asking the public to come forward with phone footage or CCTV.
