Drag queen Cookie MonStar will be reading stories at Central Library

LONDON drag queen Cookie MonStar will be reading to young book fans next week as part of the Town Hall’s Islington Reads week.

The week, which includes World Book Day, will also see the release of a booklist of top female authors and the winner of Islington Teen Read Vote will be announced on Tuesday.

A number of special £1 World Book Day vouchers will be available for children who attend one of the libraries’ baby bounce or under-fives’ story times.

Cookie MonStar – who can rap and sing while doing a headstand – will be reading stories at Central Library on Tuesday, February 27, 11-11.30am, and N4 Library on Thursday, March 1, 11-11.30am.
