23 November, 2018 — By Emily Finch

GUN crime detectives have released a CCTV clip of two men they are looking to trace following the shooting in Essex Road in September.

Witnesses described hearing five to six shots in Essex Road at the junction of Greenman Street on September 20.

One man, who lives in Essex Road and witnessed the shooting, said the bullets hit a black cab, a bus and a shop window.

Officers from the Trident and Area Crime Command are investigating and have released a video which featured a dark coloured Jaguar with cloned license plates belonging to a genuine vehicle.

The car was seen pulling up in the Peabody Estate in Greenman Street shortly before the shots were fired.

One man gets out of the car and fires several shots at another male in Greenman Street and again at Essex Road. The male was not harmed.

The gunman returns to the car which speeds down Popham Street.

There have been no arrests and detectives are keeping an open mind as to the motive for the incident.

Anyone with information should contact police on 101 quoting CAD 8010/20 Sept
