First the road is blocked off, then a camera arrives

01 December, 2017

• COULD someone explain to me the reasoning behind closing off Freeling Street, off Caledonian Road, and putting double-yellow lines where there was metred parking for eight-plus vehicles?

Now you drive up Carnoustie Drive and you are met with a no-entry sign. You can’t turn right because it is blocked off. How do people drive into the Bemerton estate without taking a five-minute drive turning left?

Am I being cynical when I suggest that a camera will be installed, and thereby lies your answer.
