THE Mayor joined Highbury pensioners as they relaxed to the sound of music at Sotheby Mews Day Centre’s garden party.
The day centre, which faces demolition next year, puts on live music by resident band Deja Vu every week.
Mayor Una O’Halloran danced and sang on Wednesday as guests enjoyed tea, coffee and cakes provided by the centre’s catering team.
Regular visitor Irma Gomez, 80, said that the move to the new Highbury Roundhouse about a mile away would be a problem for many who attend the day centre.
“Most people who use it live locally,” she said.
