GP surgery offers pathway to healthy life

11 August, 2017

• WE are a NHS GP surgery in Finsbury Park and we are passionate about helping everyday people get help and support to live healthy lives.

We are promoting some amazing support services available free of charge. All this coming week we will be having a health fair at the surgery between 10am and 2pm, where these organisations will be coming in to meet our patients.

Even if we are not your NHS GP, please feel free to come along or contact the services directly. They can tell you how you can get access.

Some examples are the Mindfulness meditation programme, which has been doing mindfulness sessions teaching people how to meditate.

Please drop in on Friday morning if you are interested in this or contact the practice to find out dates and times of future sessions, which the charity has agreed to do monthly here at no charge to you. This can help with chronic pain, illness and general mental wellbeing.

We also have the diabetes prevention programme. Services include a nutrition programme, lifestyle and health advice. There are many more support services available so please visit www.thevillagepractice.org for further details.

Even if you can’t attend the practice this week you can still get involved by accessing our website or signing up to our newsletter by emailing Amanda.meehan3@nhs.net
