ARSENAL striker Vivianne Miedema has been shortlisted for the Women’s Ballon d’Or.
The Dutch international scored 31 goals for the Gunners last season across all competitions, before helping the Netherlands reach the final of the 2019 Women’s World Cup, breaking the all-time goal-scoring record for her country.
Miedema is one of 20 players to have been nominated for the prestigious award, along with England’s Lucy Bronze and Ellen White.
The 23-year-old hit four against Slavia Prague last week to put Arsenal on the verge of the Champions League quarter-finals.
Miedema bagged a hat-trick inside 39 minutes and added a fourth after half-time as the Gunners wrapped up a convincing 5-2 victory in Prague.
Kim Little also scored a penalty in the first-leg win, with the two teams set to meet again at Meadow Park on Thursday, October 31.
