Islington man charged after Arsenal stars Sead Kolašinac and Mesut Özil attacked in Hampstead
Kolašinac was hailed as a hero by football fans after footage emerged of him fending off attackers in Platts Lane.

TWO men have been charged after Arsenal stars Sead Kolašinac and Mesut Özil were attacked in Hampstead.
Ashley Smith, 30, of Cardinals Way in Archway, was charged on Thursday, September 5 with attempted robbery, threatening a person with an offensive weapon in a public place and possession of class B drugs (cannabis).
He appeared in custody at Highbury Corner Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, 5 September and was remanded in custody to next appear at Snaresbrook Crown Court on Thursday, 3 October.
Smith was arrested on Wednesday, 4 September.
Jordan Northover, 26, of HMP Wealstun in West Yorkshire, was charged by postal requisition on Tuesday, 17 September with attempted robbery and threatening a person with an offensive weapon in a public place.
He will appear via video link at Highbury Corner Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday September 25.
This follows an incident in Platts Lane, NW3 on 25 July.
