THRILLED shoppers rushed to Archway on Wednesday as a new Marks & Spencer opened, with the supermarket chain giving the first 200 customers “golden ticket” discounts on their first shop.

Kathy Dudley was given a bouquet of flowers as a reward for being the second person to enter the shop after queuing for almost two hours before the store opened at 10am.

She said: “Another man in the queue got £200, lucky fella.”

Other happy shoppers! Diana Arop, Wezenet Gilioo, Kay Jay, Abuk Deng, Katherine Umutoni

Ms Dudley was with her sister Tricia Roome who lives near Caledonian Road.

Abuk Deng, who works in Marks & Spencer in Oxford Street, heard about the golden tickets and called her friends Diana Arop, Wezenet Gilioo, Katherine Umutoni, and Kay Jay to speed down.
