Mayor of Islington Una O’Halloran joins regulars at the monthly dance club
ARTIST, former teacher and widow to the founding member of the Socialist Workers Party in Britain, Chanie Rosenberg is a regular at a monthly dance club for the elderly.
Ms Rosenberg is now 95 but remains an active socialist and is a fan of Islington North MP Jeremy Corbyn. Indeed, Ms Rosenberg was present at the “homecoming” gathering for Mr Corbyn at the Union Chapel ahead of the general election results this June.

“I will come again,” said Ms Rosenberg, when asked if she was a regular to the dance club organised by Edurne Goldaracena of Vera the Diva dance school.
This week Ms Rosenberg will move out of her house and into a care home in Whitechapel following a fall last year. Before her fall, she took a daily swim at her local pool.
“I’m still going to make sure she comes here,” said care worker Melinda Sanchez, who first met Ms Rosenberg while volunteering. The dance club runs on the last Tuesday of the month at West Library in Bridgeman Road.
