ARSENAL legend Martin Keown was a hit with fans as he opened a new DIY store in Holloway Road.

The defender-turned-football-pundit took part in an official ribbon-cutting ceremony and met with fans and customers at B&Q Holloway Road.

Asked if he had any DIY tips, Mr Keown said “putting up shelves was pretty much the extent” of his home improvement record.

The Tribune was keen to ask him his views on the future of Gunners manager Arsène Wenger, but he did not take questions from the press, citing his contract with the Daily Mail.

B&Q Unit Manager Andy Williams said: “We’re absolutely delighted to be bringing B&Q to Holloway Road’s high street. Our launch week is set to be great fun and we’re delighted to have Martin Keown officially open the store.”
