Mayor of Islington Una O’Halloran, bravely climbed onto a mechanical bull, only to last a few seconds.

Steel pans rang out down the street entertaining the adults while children raised more than £20 from a cake sale outside their house.

Party organiser Becky Pryce, from Awesome CIC, which runs the street’s Waterside Adventure playground, said: “It’s really good to see the community get together, people from different backgrounds. It’s a great opportunity to utilise the playground.”

Leona, 8, said of the adventure playground: “It’s a fun place to come after school. Every time you come here you meet a different friend.”
