LTN measures have shifted the pollution problem

• A POINT rather lost in the discussion of LTN, low traffic neighbourhood, schemes is that cars have not gone away and the policy has driven considerably more traffic on to main roads, so that, while life is more peaceful on quieter side roads, the (usually) less affluent dwellers on main roads are now bathed in even more noise and pollution.
