A MAN has been charged with attempted murder after being linked to three separate stabbings in Caledonian Road, Whittington Park and Trinity Road.

As well as one count of attempted murder, Evans Innocent, 44, of no fixed address, was due to appear in Highbury Corner Magistrates Court on Saturday (April 25) charged with two counts of grievous bodily harm, six counts of possession of a knife in a public place and three counts of theft.

Innocent was also charged with failure to comply with the notification requirements of the sex offender’s register.

He was arrested after the stabbing of a woman in her 40s in Caledonian Road on April 21. The woman was taken to hospital and later discharged. While in custody, officers also arrested the defendant in connection with the Whittington Park and Trinity Road incidents, where two men were stabbed in the leg.
