A MAN suffered a “nasty injury” to his ear after it was bitten during a fight at Highbury and Islington tube station.

It happened last Friday (February 3), when British Transport Police (BTP) officers were called to the station following reports of a bust-up, just before 11pm.

Investigating officer Detective Constable Gerry Hughes said: “If you were in the station at the time or witnessed the altercation between two men then please get in touch as soon as possible. Your information could be vital to our investigation.”

A 25-year-old man from Islington was arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm and was released by police pending further enquiries. He is due to return on Thursday, March 2.
