Jemma Gascoigne has been reunited with moggie Marmalade after nearly two months

A GINGER cat has been reunited with its owner after going missing nearly two months ago.

Jemma Gascoigne described her cat Marmalade, known as Marmie, as her “emotional support”.

Ms Gascoigne, an illustrator who lives in Holloway Road, received a phone call on Monday night and ran out in her pyjamas.

He was found hiding under a woman’s kitchen cupboards in Stroud Green Road.

Ms Gascoigne said: “It is so lovely having him home. He was rolling around and he was talking all night long, chit-chatting away all night trying to tell me what happened.”

She said his disappearance taught her about the adventurous side of Marmie she never knew.

“I spoke to neighbours and shops who all knew him because he used to hang out around the shops.

“He even had a secret girlfriend who he used to sit and stare at in Holloway Road.”

Marmie went missing on December 8.
