Moped raider from Highbury is jailed for five years
23 March, 2018
A HIGHBURY teenager has been jailed for his part in a series of aggravated burglaries at mobile phone shops thought to have netted goods and caused damage worth £1.3million.
Jack Hennessy, 19, was with three other men on mopeds who used a concrete block to gain entry to a store in Haringey and steal phones. Hennessy, of Roseleigh Avenue, was arrested for burglary and possession of a six-inch knife, found in his waistband.
He pleaded guilty in February to conspiracy to commit aggravated burglary, and was sentenced last week to five years and three months in prison. Police said he was the 11th man to be convicted in connection with 17 raids on mobile phone stores.
