Parts of Upper Street to be closed for three months for water works

PARTS of Upper Street and Liverpool Road will be closed to traffic for three months during work to replace a water mains.
Southbound closures which started on Wednesday will see buses diverted.
A free southbound shuttle bus will connect Highbury and Islington station with Upper Street and Angel tube station.
Buses will not serve Rosebery Avenue, Goswell Road (above Old Street), Copenhagen Street and Tolpuddle Street. The 476, N41, 394, 341, 274, 153, 73, 56, 43, 38, 30, 19 and 4 buses will all be affected.
Cyclists using Upper Street are diverted to Duncan Street and Colebrooke Row and those travelling along Liverpool Road are diverted to Tolpuddle Street and Penton Street to Pentonville Road.
Thames Water is replacing the pipe under Upper Street following a devastating flood that wrecked homes and businesses in Angel in December last year.
