LONDON Fire Brigade is investigating the cause of a fire which saw 200 guests evacuated from a hotel.
More than 20 firefighters and four fire engines tackled the blaze at the six-floor Thistle City Barbican Hotel on Wednesday evening.
Guests had left their rooms as a safety measure before firefighters arrived. Part of a linen room at the hotel in Central Street was damaged.
No injuries were reported.
A spokeswoman for Thistle Hotels said: “The health and safety of all our guests remains paramount and we are currently liaising with authorities to determine the cause of the fire.”
Fire crews from Shoreditch, Euston and Whitechapel were dispatched, London Fire Brigade said, adding: “The cause of the fire is under investigation.”
The hotel has 463 guest rooms, a swimming pool and a gym.
