Reading a magazine online is more of an ordeal than a pleasure
03 May, 2019
• WE were interested to read James Snell’s letter about Islington Council libraries’ policy of “We no longer take magazines”, (Library’s missing magazines, April 26). Reading a magazine, or anything else, online is more of an ordeal than a pleasure.
We are fortunate in that a number of magazine and periodical publishers regularly send us complimentary copies of their publications. When we have read them we like to share them with other visitors to Finsbury Library by placing them on the magazine rack.
Perhaps other Tribune readers would consider doing the same. New books are also welcome.
