Clerkenwell winger Ilyas Ismail zips past Crouch End Rangers skipper Ash Clark

THE new season in the Camden Sunday League kicks off with a silverware showdown this weekend as Clerkenwell Old Boys tackle The Hurricanes in the President’s Cup final.

It promises to be a titanic tussle at Hackney Marshes as double-winners Clerkenwell, who walked away with the Challenge Cup and the Senior Cup last season, take on a Hurricanes side that finished just four points behind champions Crouch End Rangers.

The following weekend (September 10) both teams will be back in action again as the league schedule returns, when the top two from Division One last term – Rangers and The Hurricanes – meet each other in a mouth-watering opener, while Clerkenwell face Auld Shillelagh.
