Savour Baroquestock – a 10-day ‘feastival’ at Heath Street Baptist Church

19 April, 2018 — By Sebastian Taylor

Instante Baroque – Sunday and Tuesday

The slightly peculiar 10-day nine-concert Baroquestock “feastival” opens at the Heath Street Baptist Church this Friday evening. It is “peculiar” because each concert is accompanied by musical menus of hot food made from scratch on-site plus craft ales. Many lesser-known baroque and classical composers also feature in the mix.

Feastival highlights include:
Friday April 20: The Opening Feast featuring renaissance group Comalli and two baroque bands. £3, with buffet £5, 6.30pm
Saturday April 21: The Peculiar Travels of Mr Cimarosa: Instante Folk and Serio e Faceto. £8-£12, 7pm
Sunday April 22: The Bach Boys/ works by JS Bach & sons: stellar soloists sing with Instante Baroque. £8-£12, 5.30pm
Tuesday April 24: Vivaldi, Zelenka & Telemann played by Instante Baroque. Free, 1pm
Thursday April 26: Italian Greatest Hits 1600: Royal Baroque Ensemble. £8-£12, 7pm

Baroquestock Feastival of Early Music – Home-cooked Food is at Heath Street Baptist Church, 84 Heath Street, NW3 1DN.
