• If you can read music and have a experience of singing in a choir, come and sing choruses from Vivaldi’s Gloria at St Martin-in-the-Fields on Saturday morning (June 3). Making sure it will be a singalong to remember, members of the church’s St Martin’s Voices are singing at the workshop led by Andrew Earis, the church’s director of music.

• Now in its seventh year, the Songlines Encounters Festival is back with leading music artists – some performing on unusual instruments – at Kings Place on June 2 and 3. This year’s line-up includes musicians from Portugal, India, Senegal, Norway, Lithuania and the UK –and instruments include the kankles, the Lithuanian version of the Finnish kantele.

City of London Symphonic Winds is holding its summer concert at St Silas, Risinghill Street, Islington, on Sunday evening (June 4). Being played are a variety of works including pieces by John Ireland, Kenneth Hesketh, Alan Hoddinott and Vaughan Williams.

• Some thrilling music is being played by The London Mozart Players and pianist Howard Shelley on Sunday evening (June 4) at the last of this spring’s concerts at Conway Hall, Red Lion Square, Holborn. Being performed are two Mozart piano concertos, No 1 in F and No 27 in B flat major, Haydn’s Hen Symphony and Josef Myslivecek’s Symphony in C major.
