TWO men who brandished knives in an Archway street brawl have been jailed.

Tashan Atkinson, 28, of no fixed address but from Islington, and Samuel King, 40, of Pilgrims Way, Archway, became involved in an argument with four men in Junction Road in the early hours of January 9 last year.

Atkinson and King both brandished knives, with Atkinson trying to stab one of the men but his blade broke. King aimed a kick at the group and blows were exchanged. All fled when police arrived.

CCTV, along with forensic analysis of weapons and clothing recovered, identified Atkinson and King.

Both were found guilty of affray and possession of an offensive weapon at Blackfriars Crown Court last Wednesday.

They were sentenced the following day – Atkinson jailed for 16 months with King jailed for 12 months.
