Suspect wanted for violently attacking man and stealing his casino winnings

The victim was left with serious head injuries after being beaten up near Holloway Road

POLICE are trying to find a suspect believed to have followed a man home from a casino then violently robbed him of his winnings.

The victim, a man aged in his 50s, was heading home near Holloway Road having spent the evening at a casino in Leicester Square.

He was then grabbed by the suspect who repeatedly punched him in the face before stealing the winnings.

The man suffered serious facial injuries including a broken eye socket.

Officers believe the victim was followed by the suspect from the casino into Leicester Square Underground Station to Holloway Road station before the attack on Monday, June 4 at about 10.15pm.

Detective Constable David Kelly, from the Central North Command Unit, said: “We are seeking the public’s help to trace the man who was captured on CCTV. He left the victim with serious head and facial injuries and it is important that we identify him.

“He has very distinctive tattoos on his left arm and torso. If you know who he is, then please contact us.”
