A TEENAGER has been charged with murder following a vicious attack on a father over the use of a pool table.
Police were called to Bethel Café, an Ethiopian restaurant in Seven Sisters Road, at around 10pm on Tuesday to reports of an injured man. He was taken to hospital but died the next day.
The man was named as Mohammed Hersi,40, from Wood Green by police on Saturday.
The cafe which is mostly frequented by members of the Somalian community had reopened but was mostly deserted on Saturday.
One customer speaking to the Tribune said Mr Hersi had been beaten by a chair following an argument over the use of a pool table at the back of the restaurant.
A post-mortem result last week gave the provisional cause of death as penetrating head injury.
A 17-year-old male from Haringey, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was charged with murder on Friday and was remanded in custody to appear at the Old Bailey tomorrow (Tuesday).
