TWO teenagers have been sentenced after they were caught by police just minutes after committing a knifepoint
robbery in Archway.
A 17-year-old male from Islington, who cannot be named for legal reasons, pleaded guilty to robbery, possession of cannabis and possession of an offensive weapon in a public place.
At Highbury Corner Magistrates’ Court he was ordered to pay £50 compensation, handed a youth rehabilitation order and banned from entering Islington for three months.
Another 17-year-old male from Islington was ordered to pay £50 compensation and referred to a youth offender panel for eight months.
The court heard how they stole earphones and a mobile phone from a 15-year-old boy in Highgate Hill last month.
The items were recovered after the suspects threw them over a fence.
