HUNDREDS of people from all over London gathered at Finsbury Park Mosque this week to show their solidarity with the Muslim community in the wake the terror attack.
The mosque and surrounding streets were engulfed by people wishing to show their support on Monday and Tuesday, with many bringing flowers, candles and homemade signs with messages of unity.
Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn, who lives close to the scene of the attack, told a vigil on Tuesday: “This was a despicable act of terror against a wholly innocent community. But the response of our community has been extraordinary. I’m very grateful to everyone that’s come here this evening to show what our community response it. We are not going to be divided, we’re going to be united against this awful trend.
“I’m very proud to represent Finsbury Park, with all its faiths, diversity and all its difference. Because you know what? That [diversity] make us more united.”
