The sooner the Mayor of London gets on with electrification of taxis and buses the better
28 February, 2019
• OUR cloudless skies and high temperatures since Saturday concealed a toxic and counter-intuitive reality; in central London we’ve been living through an air quality episode.
Tempted to get the bike out or go for a run? Not a good idea. There’s been extremely high levels of particulates that damage our health, particularly children and those with any respiratory issues.
Why do the broadcast weather forecasts continue to ignore this real threat? The sooner the Mayor of London gets on with electrification of London’s taxis and buses the better.
This wave of particulates has hung over us because of very low winds from the south. I blame President Emmanuel Macron!
