Time for a clean-up!

07 February, 2020

• IT took 15 years to sort London, including St Paul’s. Joseph Bazalgette sorted out the Great Stink of 1858 in 15 years. And the Great Smog of 1952 took 15 years to sort by way of the Clean Air Act of 1956.

Since history is inclined to repeat itself, it should be possible to clean up London’s toxic air in 15 years. However, believing there are lies, damn lies, statistics and politicians’ promises, should I hold my breath or abandon ship?
