Tribune is first on the streets with results of election

16 June, 2017

Jeremy Corbyn and Emily Thornberry read about their election night wins in the Tribune’s special results edition

JEREMY Corbyn and Emily Thornberry were completely engrossed in the Tribune’s special election edition when we caught up with them on Tuesday.

The Labour MPs both returned to the Commons this week with hugely increased majorities, and were seen poring over the polls results at Westminster.

The Labour leader, who started his ninth term as MP for Islington North this week, praised the Tribune for our election edition, which hit the borough’s streets at 10am on Friday.

The Tribune’s sister papers, the Camden New Journal and the Westminster Extra, did the same, with editions appearing just hours after the results were announced, the work of a small team of six reporters, two production editors, the printers and editor Eric Gordon.
