THE woman behind the popular ArchWay With Words literary festival is launching a new monthly disco night on Wednesday.

The first event, which will be held at Club Kolis, above the historic Archway Tavern, is billed as “Three Lost Legends” – in honour of pop stars David Bowie, George Michael and Prince, who all died last year.

The festival’s director Stephanie Smith, who also manages Archway Market, said: “Kolis nightclub is a hidden treasure and a great venue. The book festival has hosted Phill Jupitus, Suzi Quatro, Viv Albertine and Jah Wobble there as well as loads of fantastic poets.

“But actually it’s most suited for is a disco. There’s a fantastic sound system, a huge dancefloor, a bar and even a discoball.”

Doors to the club night open at 8pm. Visit www.archwaywithwords.com or @archwayword on Twitter for more details.
