A WOMAN has been jailed for 16 months for a violent street robbery.
Tracey Robinson, 46, of no fixed abode, was jailed last Thursday at Blackfriars Crown Court after pleading guilty to robbery.
Her victim was a 30-year-old woman with learning difficulties who was known to Robinson.
She had visited a cashpoint in Seven Sisters Road to withdraw money on January 23. As she was walking away, she was set upon by Robinson, who wrestled her to the ground and snatched the money from her hand.
The victim, who suffered minor injuries, was badly shaken up. She identified Robinson to police, who arrested her on February 1.
Detective Constable Marcus Johnson, of Islington CID, said: “This was an unprovoked attack on a vulnerable female for no other reason than financial gain.”
