We are going the extra mile for the jab – literally

08 January, 2021

• I SHALL be taking one friend (age 83) to the National Health Service Covid-19 vaccination centre by car tonight, a 3.4-mile trip for a distance of 1.2 miles.

The dark and deserted streets do not seem safe. Another trip tomorrow with a neighbour (age 93) again stretching a short distance to 2.5 miles.

Could Islington Council consider deactivating the cameras to ease the flow of traffic, providing access, and thus security, for the duration – at least – of the lockdown?

This will also reduce pollution and demonstrate that the council cares about the residents’ welfare.
