THE mother of a young man who was shot dead in Holloway marked her son’s birthday without him for the first time on the weekend.
Keetha Allaway gathered with her family at her house off Liverpool Road on Saturday on the day when Imani Allaway-Muir would have been 23 years old.
Mr Allaway-Muir was killed at the Westbourne estate last summer. Seven men are due to stand trial for murder.
The family released balloons and prayed in his memory before travelling up to his grave in East Finchley to lay flowers.
Ms Allaway said: “Someone has taken my son and the pain will never leave me. On days like Saturday it breaks my heart, but I will keep fighting for justice for Imani.”
She added: “He will never be forgotten.”
