We’re right: this building is just too close for comfort

New illustrations for Windsor Street
• HAVING been forced to do so, Islington Council has finally produced new illustrations of its proposed three-storey residence in Windsor Street intended for adults with learning disabilities/autism.
The before-and-after images confirm that residents’ suspicions were correct and that a three-storey building is just plain wrong for this site – it is too close to the boundary wall and too tall.
Considering the proposed building will also be non-compliant with the relevant health and wellbeing
requirements for residences for vulnerable adults (Show you care about disabled people, stick to the rules, September 15), rather than wasting any more tax-payers’ money pursuing this scheme, isn’t it time the council returned to the drawing board and came back with a plan that works for all?
