What I’d like to see at the new Art House cinema

06 December, 2018

• YOU report that Art House, prospective owners of the cinema in the former North London Poly in Kentish Town, are open to ideas about what locals would like to see there, (November 22).

Some suggestions. A regular slot for documentaries which open new worlds to us here, bombarded by Brexit. Like their excellent Crouch End programme, more independent movies from Europe (yes!) and worldwide that are neglected by the big distributors.

A film club whose members could vote to choose once-a-week/fortnight/month screening of golden oldies. A morning or early-afternoon session for elders, to compensate for the loss of the Raglan Street centre…

A new cinema in Kentish Town would really contribute to this corner of Camden. Yes please, Art House!
