Windrush meeting: Boris must be embarrassed into action

11 May, 2018

• CARIBBEAN Labour Solidarity is holding a meeting to discuss the issue of the Windrush deportations and what needs to be done.

This is the most important issue to affect black people in the UK for the last 70 years. It is not just about deportations but about the way the government has been ignoring and disowning the rights of  British people of colour all over the world when they need help.

As citizens we have a right to expect protection, but it seems that the government, as demonstrated by Boris Johnson, does not seem to think we should be treated the same. Johnson has to be embarrassed into action.

The meeting is at 7pm on Thursday, May 31, at Unite, 33-37 Moreland Street. Finsbury.
