Highbury Wolves are heading to Wembley

HIGHBURY Wolves will continue their summer search for silverware on Saturday when they tackle the London Football Journeys Tournament in Wembley.

The girls have been busy winning trophies and medals all over the capital in recent weeks. They have already won the Nike Take Over competition and the We Kick It tournament in east London, while finishing as runners-up in the Under-14s Division of the Camden and Islington Youth League and in a day-long football festival held at Whittington Park in Holloway.

This weekend they will be looking for further success when they take part in the six-a-side event held at the Wembley Powerleague, and coach David Scrafton is confident that his side will impress yet again. He said: “They are such a hard-working, committed bunch of girls, who are always striving to get better.”

The Wolves will be expanding their girls’ teams this season, and are welcoming new players aged eight to 14 years old. For details call David on 07988 662 344.
