PRIMARY pupils have been discovering how graffiti can challenge a cruel regime.
Inspired by the book Chain of Fire by activist and author Beverley Naidoo, Year 6 pupils at Ambler Primary School, in Finsbury Park, have made huge banners with anti-apartheid slogans.
Headteacher Juliet Benis said the project helped pupils learn the importance of “tolerance, respect and equality”.
Chain of Fire tells the story of a black town’s resistance to the white government’s plan to forcibly remove people to “homelands” hundreds of miles away.
